Bross Furniture was born in 1981 but they didn’t make themselves publicly known until the Milan Furniture Fair; Salone Internazionale del Mobile in 1982. From this point on, Bross was known as a fun, young creative furniture business with lots of passion.
At this time in the early 80’s, there were very specific styles and trends being demanded throughout the high end furniture market and Bross had to respond to this demand in a positive way. Bross made high quality furniture using a choice of the highest quality materials, alongside attention to detail and skilled craftsmanship.
Initially Bross collaborated with 3 infamous product designers which was probably the main reason Bross got recognised and grew so quickly as a brand; the 3 designers were Ennio Arosio, Simonit and Del Piero and Studio Punto, together they created the Viana Chair and Piana Table. The Piana Table is still one of their best-selling pieces today and probably one of our favourites too.
About 5 years after they established, Bross made some more important partnerships with well-known product designers such as; aolo Piva, Gerd Lange, Laprell and Althaus, Peter Maly, Mario dall’Orto, Edy Ciani, Ferruccio Laviani, Rodolfo Dordoni, Garouste and Bonetti, Alberto Livore and Piero Lissoni and Ennio Arosio. Between these designers and Bross, together they created a range of great products that then became even more popular than the first handful of products.
Throughout the growth of the company, Bross have always made great connections and partnerships; one of which is so-called chair triangle – which is a geographical location in Italy where there is a high concentrate of chair manufacturers. Also, Bross managed to make some good and long lasting relationships early on within the commercial interiors sector. They have produced furniture for offices, marine companies and hotels. Some of the hotels they have supplied are: The Hiltion, Mariott, Meridian and The Crown Plaza Hotel.
